El 21 de juliol de l’any del Senyor de 1997, una sèrie de joves lleidatans van constituir oficialment l’Associació Lúdico-Gastronòmico-Musical i Esportiva els Moniatos. Amb el fi de posar els papers al dia i deixar-ho tot el perfecte estat de revista per engegar el Projecte Solidari Moniatos ’07, hem tingut de fer certes modificacions burocràtiques que ens han portat a renovar estatuts, actes fundacionals i llistat de membres. És per això que obrim les portes de l’Associació a tothom que vulgui formar –hi part. S’ha de saber que no és Moniato qui és de l’Associació i no és Moniato qui no és de l’Associació; ni l’Associació és dels moniatos, ni els moniatos de l’Associació. No té res a veure. Tots som Moniatos, vulguem o no vulguem. En cas de voler participar poseu-se en contacte amb el Peresident, Vice-president, tresorer, secretari o qualsevol dels vocals (a,e,i,o o u).
